These terms and conditions outline the agreement between the tutor and the parents or carers of students and MathsteachersUK.

 

By booking a tutoring session, you agree to the following terms:

1. Session Duration

• Each tutoring session will be 50 minutes in duration.

 

2. Fees

• The cost of each tutoring session is £35 (2024/25).

• Tuition sessions are paid monthly and in advance. Payment for the first month is not requested prior to the first session.

• An initial invoice will be sent after the first session, and monthly invoices

will be sent thereafter.

• Payment is required within one week of receiving the invoice. Failure to make payment within this period will incur a £10 late payment charge.

 

3. Cancellation Policy

• A minimum of 24 hours' notice must be provided to cancel or reschedule a session.

• If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, the full session fee will be charged.

• Cancellations or rescheduling should be made by phone, text, or email.

4. Punctuality

• Both the tutor and the student should aim to start sessions promptly. If the student is late, the session will still end at the scheduled time, and the full session fee will apply.

• If the tutor is late, the session will be extended by the equivalent amount of time lost, or a partial refund may be offered at the tutor’s discretion.

 

5. Session Format

• Sessions are tailored to the individual needs of the student, covering topics as agreed between the tutor and the student or their parents/carers.

• Homework may be assigned at the tutor’s discretion to reinforce the topics covered in each session.

 

6. Communication

• Regular communication is encouraged between the tutor and the parents/carers to discuss the student's progress.

• Please contact the tutor via email or phone for any questions, feedback, or concerns.

 

7. Termination of Tutoring Services

• Either the tutor or the student’s parents/carers may choose to terminate the tutoring arrangement with two weeks' notice.

• If the tutor feels that they are not able to effectively support the student, they may recommend alternative educational support.

 

8. Liability

• The tutor will take reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the student during sessions.

• The tutor is not liable for any personal injuries or accidents that occur outside the tutoring environment.
